Accessibility Information for Online New Client Account Applications

Charles Stanley is committed to providing websites that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of all of our websites and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

For the vast majority of our websites, we have already achieved or are working towards conformity to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly for all people.

Our Online New Client Account Application does not currently meet these guidelines. Accordingly, members of the public wishing to become a client (or existing clients wishing to open a further account) have an alternative means to complete our application process, should they be unable to do so using our Online New Client Account Application. The alternative mechanism available to such members of the public and to existing clients is a paper-based application process, which would be initiated by a member of Charles Stanley staff. That member of staff is typically the Account Manager who is to act as day-to-day contact for that prospective or existing client should their application result in the opening of one or more accounts. That member of staff will also provide further assistance to those members of the public or existing clients wishing to apply whose more serious disabilities mean that the completion of a paper-based application is difficult or impossible.

We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of all of our websites up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
